Cue the Mike and the Mad Dog NFL picks music. For the record I'm just going to pick the team that I think is going to win, makes it easier in my opinion.
Bills over Dolphins Bengals over Rams Cowboys over Lions Packers over Raiders Texans over Bucs Jaguars over Panthers Giants over Eagles Chargers over Titans Vikings over 49ers Seahawks over Cardinals Pats over Steelers Ravens over Colts Saints over Falcons
Thoughts: Turrble MNF game...ouch
Turrble move to fire Shot-en-hime-er when all he did was go 14-2 and now look at the mess the Chargers are in.
Turrrble season for the Bengals, what in the world are they doing?
Big Blue Corner: Tough game this week especially with a conference rival and on the road. Throw in a boat load of injuries and the Giants inconsistent nature and this game is going to be much closer than the the records would indicate. Time for Eli to play a full game and be the QB he was born to be.
I'll take the Mad Dog music of past years so cue "The Eye of the Tiger".....No speard on my picks either, it's straight up...
Bills over Dolphins Bengals over Rams Cowgirls over Lions Packers over Raiders Bucs over Texans Jaguars over Panthers Giants over Eagles Titans over Chargers Vikings over 49ers Cardinals over Seahawks Patriots over Steelers Colts over Ravens Saints over Falcons
Few things...
-I want to see a little more JaMarcus Russell
-Why would anyone hire Norv Turner to be their Head coach?
-Patriots are running the table, sorry everybody..
-Dolphins are going to lose every game....
-Can we please get some decent, meaningful games on Monday Night?
Hog Heaven: Well, my 'Skins are going to have to sneak in the backdoor of the NFC playoffs. They have a tough 3 game stretch going to Minnesota and New York with Dallas coming to Washington. With a win over Minnesota we would hold the tiebreaker over the Lions, Cardinals,Bears, and Vikings. So we have to win AT LEAST 2 of the last 3. Hopefully we can turn these close losses into close wins.
JAGUARS (-10.5) over Panthers: What does an injury ridden team with a 43 year old quarterback get to look forward to? A nice healthy does of MJD and the Jags. The Jaguars wont lose 2 in a row, and wont fall into this “trap game” with the Steelers looming next week.
LIONS (-10.5) over Cowboys: There’s 4 teams this week favored by 10 or more, and not all of them will cover, so why not pick against my least favorite team. I know Roy Williams is out for the year, but that gives Calvin Johnson a chance to show his full array of skills on an overrated Cowboys secondary. Lets quiet Terrence Newman up, attack him early and often.
BILLS (-7) over Dolphins: Can things get uglier here? Jon Beck, Samkon Gado, Fred Jackson, JP Losman/Trent Edwards. Who knows who to pick in this one, but ill say the Dolphins don’t get that big W this week. Bills are a tough team to beat at home and that’s the difference here.
Giants (+2.5) over EAGLES: A 16-3 victory in the first meeting. A record setting 12 sacks. 2 straight losses for the Eagles and their still favored? While Mini-Peyton has had his struggles of late, I think McNabb coming back after 2 weeks will be enough to slow the chemistry of the Philly offense. Westbrook could be a huge difference here, but I think the Giants pass rush will disrupt McNabb enough that they can walk out of there with a W.
Chargers (PK) over TITANS: Vince Young, meet LDT. The Chargers are rolling into this game, going 6-2 in their last 8 games. While Norv Turner is as useful as David Carr is effective, there is too much talent in San Diego for them to blow this game. If Phil Rivers can resist his desire to gift wrap this game and present it to the Titans as an early holiday gift, then SD will be looking at a possible 11-5 record to end the season.
Rams (+8) over BENGALS: 100% contingent on if at LEAST Ferrotte plays QB. If its him or Bulger, than the Rams will have enough fire power to at least hang with the hapless Bengals. I wish they were good so we could enjoy the greatness that is Ocho Cinco.
TEXANS (+3) over Buccaneers: Andre Johnson. Project his numbers over a full season and he puts Randy Moss and TO to sleep as far as stats are concerned. He picked up right where he left off before his injury, and it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s Schaub or Rosenfels throwing it to him. If they can contain Galloway than the Texans will be in a position to make a late push towards the tough AFC playoffs.
PACKERS (-10.5) over Raiders: Two words. Brett Favre.
Cardinals (+7) over SEAHAWKS: Larry Fitz and Anquan Boldin are arguably the top WR tandem in the league. Kurt Warner seems to flirt with 400 yards every week. Shaun Alexander is a shell of his old self, yet he continues to get the start. The Cards cover in what will be a high scoring shootout.
Vikings (-8.5) over 49ERS: Never ever ever bet money on the 9’ers. Whether the stud Frank Gore shows up, or the dud Frank Gore, the Vikings and AD (All Day) will be far too much for the Trent Dilfer led 49ers.
BRONCOS (-6.5) over Cheifs: If Gus Johnson wasn’t announcing this game, no one would watch. Since he is, I wish I lived in Denver so that I could watch. This also means he wont be on the Knicks game tomorrow night. Not good news.
Browns (-3.5) over JETS: This should be the outcome if the Jets are smart. A very deep draft should be their main concern, and the Browns are hungry after getting a bad call at the end of the Cardinals game last week. They need to take care of games like this if they want to be in the playoffs when all is said and done. Look for a heavy dose of Derek Anderson to Braylon Edwards this game.
Steelers (+10.5) over PATRIOTS: A) If no one has ever heard of you, you shouldn’t be making guarantees/ B) I want nothing more than for the Pats to lose.
Colts (-9) over RAVENS: Colts are quietly setting themselves up for 1 tough game in Foxsborough and then smooth sailing to a repeat, yet no one wants to acknowledge this. Ill take the Colts on the big stage Sunday Night even though the Ravens looked very good against the Pats.
Saints (-3.5) over FALCONS: Your starting MNF quarterback...Mark Redmond!! Vick must be rolling over in his cell wishing he could be out on the field. Maybe next time he’ll stick to taking weed on a plane instead of killing animals. That said, I’m also picking Vick to lead the jail rec football league in total passing yards, and total TD’s.
Corey I tried sooo hard to understand the whole spread thing to see who did better picks wise...I gave up after 5 minutes lol...btw a win is a win as far as big blue is concerned.
Since mine were against the spread, I'm giving myself the trophy for the week. Kyle clearly had a problem with the Broncos/Chiefs game and the Jets/Browns game since he refused to pick them both. See you in 2009 Vick, well miss you.

Well clearly I was boycotting non-southern teams corey..doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.
