SEAHAWKS (-3.5) over Redskins:
This Redskin team has done something so improbable that they deserve credit just for being here. To overcome what they did, and win out to make it is admirable. That being said, I think the train stops here for this Cinderella story. Seattle is somehow too good at home for good old Todd Collins to go on the road and win in his first playoff game as a starter. Even with the heartless Shaun Alexander, I think Matt Hasselbeck overcomes the backfield he is saddled with and takes home the W.
Final Score: Seahawks 27, Redskins 20

Jaguars (-2) over STEELERS:
Road favorite going into Heinz Field. As Simmons would say, this is the Obvious Game and I should stay away from it, but MJD and Fred Taylor is too much for me to turn down. I also would want nothing more than to see what these two could do against the referee loving Patriots.
Final Score: Jaguars 21, Steelers 17

Giants (+3) over BUCCANEERS:
Oh baby. This is what I’ve been waiting for. A playoff game that Eli has a chance to win. Four major categories: coaching, QB, home field, and injuries and Tampa might have the edge in all of them. For some reason though, my gut just says that something good is going to happen this weekend. The two X-Factors for this game for me are Joey Galloway for the Bucs and Brandon Jacobs for the G-Men. If the oft beat Giants secondary can hold the never aging Galloway in check, then I have no doubt in my mind the Giants win this game, and maybe easily. A heavy dose of Jacobs and Bradshaw (who for Gods sake can we please let him return kicks!) should give Eli enough room for error to get his first playoff victory. Lets go Big Blue.
Final Score: Giants 27, Buccaneers 14

CHARGERS (-9) over Titans:
LDT. Gates. Merriman. The “big three” of San Diego will go nuts on the Vince Young less Titans. This game doesn’t interest me in the least, so I have no more words for it. Gotta go watch Mike and the Mad Dog.
Final Score: Chargers 28, Titans 10

Redskins (+3.5) over SEAHAWKS
- Look for this game to be very close with two contrasting styles going head to head. Clinton Portis is the hottest running back in the playoffs right now including LDT and his stats show he gets better and better as the year goes on. The Redskins secondary will do the job with Smoot and Springs locking down and Landry covering space and coming up to play a little linebacker as well. Look for the Washington to make Seattle run the ball and for the 'Skins to control the clock. No disrespect to the Seahawks 12th man but no 12th man compares to the one my 'Skins have. RIP #21...
Final Score: Redskins 24, Seahawks 14

Jaguars (-2) over STEELERS
-Nothing but red flags all over this game especially with the line moving from +1 Steelers to +2 Jacksonville. This means all of America is now on the Jaguars bandwagon and for good reason i must say. They play D can run the ball and their quarterback does not make mistakes. So i look for the Jags to be fine against the "Fast" Willie Parker-less Steelers. BTW, Sorry Ins but when the Jags go to New England they are going to find the same result as the 16 previous teams......all it takes is for Tom Brady and Randy Moss to flip the switch.
Final Score: Jaguars 28, Steelers 17

BUCCANEERS (-3) over Giants
Hmmm. VERY tough game for me to pick, maybe the hardest of the weekend I was leaning NY all the way but i am going against it now. Eli against a good and much underrated "D" that is going to get pressure on him and make him have the weird look on his face (Simmons refers to as the “Manning Face"). Also, Garcia has some previous success against the G-Men and the Garcia to Galloway deep threat is very scary. Garcia also can neutralize the Giants biggest advantage which is their pass rush because he is a pretty elusive qb. However, the NYG can pound with Jacobs BUT I’m going Bucs but I would not be surprised if the Giants won.
Final Score: Bucs 27, Giants 21

CHARGERS (-9) over Titans
-Blah what a terrible game to end wild card weekend with. I look for LDT to control the game on offense and "Lights Out" to shut down on D. No Lendale White, a hobbled VY (even if he plays), and Haynesworth might not be at 100% either pretty much puts a damper on this one. The only thing that can stop the Chargers........NORV TURNER and even I don't think he is so incompetent that he can lose this game.
Final Score: Chargers 31, Titans 10
